Kentucky Lawmaker Wants to Make Anonymous Internet Posting Illegal

Kentucky Representative Tim Couch filed a bill this week to make anonymous posting online illegal. The bill would require anyone who contributes to a website to register their real name, address and e-mail address with that site. Their full name would be used anytime a comment is posted.

The whole thing is not only comical, it's also practically unenforceable. Oh sure, with some work you can track someone down, but you can do that now if necessary. Like Echo said, this gentleman has probably had his feelings hurt by an online posting and decided the only answer is creating yet more legislation.

Yeah, no. Won't happen. So many people will end up pissed off that I dont think they are stupid enuf to do it. The guy probaly just wants it done because someone talked shit about him on some forum or the like. Witch, rightly, he diserved it.
