I prefer the regular old keyboard layout.

I'm with Slackasaurus on this one, as long as it works and isn't anything out of the ordinary, it's good enough for me. I have an Internet keyboard I'm using right now with media buttons on it that I have never used and never plan to. A button for email, button for the web, sound, mute, etc.

I'm preferential to anything with a traditional layout (Re: cheapest option) Key depth and audible register not important. If they start splitting keys and making curves, that's where I drwa the line.

ah. well myself, i just use a run of the mill microsoft ergonomic keyboard. overpriced IMO, but i wanted one that was non-wireless, USB connect, and black. (black ergonomic keyboards are hard to come across these days :( )

It's not necessarily opposite, just which you think would work better. Although I guess you could say that they're opposites because ergonomic keyboards don't use switches (or at least I've never seen one that does).

This link will show you exactly what a keyswitch is (in case someone does not know).

define: mechanical switch type keys

(as how it would be the opposite of an ergonomic keyboard)

Ergonomic keyboards or ones with switch keys?

I was looking at a nice Logitech ergonomic keyboard the other day when I was purchasing a new printer and I started to consider purchasing an ergonomic keyboard instead of my current plan of getting one with mechanical switch keys. So I'm curious as to whether people think ergonomic keyboards or mechanical switch type keyboards are better (as far as comfort goes).
